We have a growing colony of Diapheromera femorata - or walking stick insects. $15 each or 5 for $40.
Sometimes called Northern walking sticks or the common walking stick - they are part of an order of insects call phasmids.
Most commonly found in southern Ontario, Quebec, and parts of the Maritimes, Diapheromera femorata is the only species of walking stick native to Canada - and therefore the only species that is legal to keep in Canada.
Our walking sticks are currently eating raspberry leaves - but will usually also eat blackberry, oak, privet, rose, hazelnut or hawthorn leaves.
Due to differing laws on invertebrates in different provinces - we are unable to ship Diapheromera femorata.
