We have a growing colony of Diapheromera femorata hatching out. Sometimes called Northern walking sticks or the common walking stick - they are part of an order of insects call phasmids. Being established in Southern parts of Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Alberta, Diapheromera femorata are the only species of walking stick that are legal to keep in Canada.

Our walking sticks are currently eating raspberry leaves - but will usually also eat blackberry, oak, privet, rose, hazelnut or hawthorn leaves.

Due to differing laws on invertebrates in different provinces - we are unable to ship Diapheromera femorata.
